My Favorite Place

My mother had to go to New Orleans to present at a conference. I went with her, and I fell in love with the city. Music was everywhere, and there were so many interesting shops. Although I do not see myself living there on account of how many people there were, I do look forward to going back.

  1. Oh, I am a huge HUGE fan of New Orleans also, Cady! Years ago I helped plan a conference that took place there, and so I got to make several visits, and then when the event was over we all went to the famous Commander's Palace restaurant... it is even has its own Wikipedia article! And in terms of Myth-Folklore, New Orleans in particular and Louisiana in general is one of the most folktale-rich areas of the country, so if you would like to do a New Orleans or Louisiana-inspired project for this class, there are some wonderful online resources you could use; here's a free book online for example: Louisiana Folktales :-)
